Summer 2006
Roof workday - thanks to all who helped!

Spring 2005
“We haven’t been to the camp in years.”
“I didn’t know you had a campground.”
"We Should just come out and hike around.”
“I’ve never seen the inside of the buildings.”
Based on these comments, some folks do not know what is here or have not taken the opportunity to explore and enjoy the different aspects of Green Pastures. If you fish, there is a pond for fishing. If you like to walk or hike, we have trails. Bring the kids out to pay on the new play-scape and have a picnic. If you like sitting around a campfire, grab some marshmallows and come out some evening. If you like morels, come search for them in the timber. If you need some time and space to think, come relax on one of the swings by the pond. There are plenty of great spots to fine solitude and pray. If you play the piano come enjoy the baby grand piano we recently received as a blessing. If you enjoy reading, bring a book or borrow one from the library. If you would like a tour of the facilities give us a call or stop by and we’ll show you around. You do not have to be on a retreat to come to Green Pastures.
This winter has been especially bust and we are preparing for another fill your of camps, retreats and improvement projects. Thanks to support from several churches and a crew of volunteers we are installing a new play-scape for children to climb on. This spring we will add a softener and sanitization unit to the camp water system. On Friday and Saturday – April 1st and 2nd – beginning at 9:00 AM, we will need volunteers to help remove and replace the shingles on the shower-house roof. If you have not scheduled your retreat there are still some weekends available. Whether you come for a special event, a service project or for a personal retreat, we always look forward to seeing you at Green Pastures.
